Long Island is a large island laying just out side of
New York City. It includes Suffolk & Nassau Counties.
There are many different areas, residential, luxury,
vacation, commericial you name it.. LI's got it. On the
island is the Hamtpons, and the awesome barrier beach
Fire Island. Long Island is considered the safest region
in the country. To get in one must pass through New
York City, fly into either MacArthur, JFK, LaGuardia
or other small airports. Ferry service is available from
Bridgeport, Connecticut to Port Jefferson (see the
map). Also the MTA's Long Island Railroad runs
through here.
